    About the Discussion

Can Political Empathy Help De-polarize our Politics? The Political Empathy Lab explores how to build dialogue across today’s sharp political differences. Through a practice called “democratic listening,” Professor Howard has led students into diverse communities across Pennsylvania to discover how we might reduce polarization. Join us to learn what their experiences tell us about the future of American civil discourse.

As we celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Swarthmore Discussion Group, we anticipate strong interest in this program. To ensure an intimate setting for dialogue at The Inn, capacity is limited. We encourage you to RSVP early to guarantee your attendance for this special evening of community and connection.
