Welcome to Alumnihood: Philadelphia

Join your fellow Swatties for a beautiful autumn evening at the recently opened Walnut Garden in Center City, Philadelphia. Whether you’re brand new to Philadelphia or a (near-)lifelong local, this pop-up restaurant and cocktail garden near Rittenhouse Square is the perfect place to see old friends and make new ones as we welcome the class of 2024 into the Swarthmore Alumni Community.

Walnut Garden has two full-service bars, a draft trailer, an ice cream shack, and small plate food offerings. It is kid-friendly and has a designated children's area with a play structure and slide. Dogs must be leashed. Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by someone 21+. Please remember to bring a valid form of ID!

GETTING THERE

Walnut Garden is easily accessible by walking, cycling, taking the Broad Street Line or Trolley, and by bus (2, 4, 21). In addition to limited metered street parking, there are paid parking garages on 17th and 18th & Walnut.

Food and drinks will be pay-as-you-go.
