Welcome to Alumnihood: Bay Area

We're excited to invite you to a delightful afternoon picnic at one of San Francisco's most beloved spots — Dolores Park! Whether you’re a recent graduate or a longtime alum, this is a fantastic opportunity to welcome the Class of 2024, reconnect with fellow Swatties, meet new friends, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the lovely park.

Location: Dolores Park, San Francisco (meet at the picnic area near the playground) 

What to Bring:

• Picnic blankets 

• This event is entirely BYOB – Bring snacks, or beverages for yourself or to share

• Layers for the potential SF wind and chill

• Your Swarthmore spirit!

Important Notes:

• Pets are welcome but must be leashed

• Please respect the park rules and clean up after yourself

• There are plenty of food vendors if you’d like more options

Getting There:

Dolores Park is conveniently accessible by public transportation, biking, or walking. For those driving, limited metered street parking is available, as well as paid parking garages nearby. Public transportation is highly recommended due to the limitations of parking. As a reminder, please do not leave any valuables in your car.
